At 18 weeks pregnant, you're almost halfway through your pregnancy. If you were having morning sickness, you should be feeling much better by now. In fact, you should be feeling pretty energetic at this time in your pregnancy.
Most women feel pretty good at this stage in pregnancy. They are enjoying showing off the pregnancy, and they aren't too uncomfortable yet. Your belly should be showing to some extent now and you may need to switch to maternity clothes if you haven't done so yet.
You should be feeling baby's movements by the 18th week of pregnancy as fluttering sensations and small kicks. These will get stronger as your pregnancy progresses. You can use the amount of movement your baby makes to judge its well-being.
As long as you are eating healthy at 18 weeks pregnant, try not to obsess about your weight. At this point in pregnancy, most women have gained about ten pounds or so. The better your food choices are, the less excess weight you'll gain.
Make every calorie count because you are building a person! Eat vegetables, fruit and protein, while taking it easy on the sugary desserts. Be sure to drink enough water to stay well-hydrated… dehydration will cause contractions.
It is better to eat several small meals per day than three large ones. You'll maintain a good blood sugar level without overeating. This strategy also works well as baby grows larger and your stomach gets squeezed by your growing uterus.
Exercise is important in staying healthy. Even if you only take a walk around the block or the mall a few times a week, you'll feel better and your labor will go easier than if you didn't exercise.
At about 18 weeks pregnant you may notice that it is more difficult to get comfortable while sleeping. You may need to experiment with different sleeping positions. Extra pillows or a body pillow made for pregnant woman may be very helpful.
Enjoy your pregnancy and your changing body. Pregnancy is only for a short time, so relish it if you can.

18 weeks with my second, feeling flutters throughout the day. Yea! Unfortunatley I have had extreme gas pains. Boo Hoo. Walking on the treadmill 4 times a week and taking walks on the weekend. Hoping for an easy labor this time. First kid I was in labor 27 hours! Ouch!

I'm 18 weeks. I just found out what I am having, ITS A BOY. I had hoped for a girl this time, I have two boys but I am thankful as long as its healthy and strong. I wish all the Mother's the best in there pregnancies.

6 pounds is nothing at 18 weeks, I've gained about 8 or so but I have been reading that at 18 weeks u should have gain 10 to 15 so ur good. I have my little princess n 18 1/2 weeks pg n really hoping for junior this time!!!
I turn 18 weeks tomorrow and Im not sure if I have felt much movement.. Ive felt little bubbles but not sure if it is gas or hunger pangs, very confusing because im so anxious so feel my little one. Im very excited. This is my first pregnancy and I find out what Im having in 2 weeks. I want a girl. Hopefully I will feel some movement soon. And yes Ive also found it harder to get comfy at night. 18 weeks and 2 days today, my first pregnancy. I have been feeling movement often and got kicked a few time a few days ago. Hope to find out the gender in 10 days, if my little peanut cooperates! Hope all you other 18 week ladies are doing great!

Eighteen weeks today. Having a boy, found that out like three weeks ago (: Haven't felt him yet, or at least I don't think I have. Gained right at 10 pounds but he's sitting so far back, no one can even tell that I'm 5 months along. I'm having the craziest dreams at night too. Is this normal?
I found out what I was having a little girl 18wks and I thought that was weird considering with my first child I couldn't find out until I was like 24wks. I wanted to see if anyone else knew what they were having at 18wks as well..I can see I am not alone...I'm now 20 weeks and so excited that I can say that I'm halfway there!!! It's so hard to find comfort at night, my hips ache all night, and my dreams are so crazy and vivid. She's starting to move all the time especially at midnight when I'm trying to relax..lol...I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL SHE GETS HERE!!!
18 weeks pregnant with 1st baby. haven't felt it move or anything... still dont have much of a baby bump. got gas alot though but its nothing. sleeping has been uncomfortable especially in the heat. can't stay comfortable either. can't wait to feel my baby kick and find out the sex. can't find out sex til 24 weeks. im not patient enough lol
I'm 18 weeks 5 days. I'm gonna find out what i'm having on the 28th of July. I've been feeling the baby's little taps off and on. I worry sometines when i don't feel the baby's movements...Anyone feels the same? Can't get comfortable at nights, that's when baby want to be on the same side i'm laying on. Can't wait for Dec...
Im pregnant with my third baby. Im a single mother. I can't sleep for crap & i get up so early for work & have two other children. im having a boy. my due date is dec.12. i feel the baby move at night. the first time i felt the baby was 1 week ago. Now its more regular. Good luck everyone.
18 weeks 3 days and go to a 3d ultrasound place tomorow to find out the sex hopefully. my dr office said at 24 weeks i can find out with them. im to impatient lol. this is the first baby i asked the dr why they couldnt do it they saud they dont have the best equipment to do it but a 3d/4d place can do it for you. paying the 99 for it but its worth it if he/she cooporates. good luck everyone
I'm 18 weeks pregnant with my second child and this pregnancy is nothing like my first. I'm thirsty all the time and ppl don't even notice that I am pregnant. Won't know sex of baby till august 12th. Just hoping for healthy baby! Grats to mommas and néw mommas on your upcoming joy!
I am 18 weeks with my second baby, find out in about 2 weeks what this little pickle is :) he or she is quite stubborn so I'm a little nervous to see if he or she let's us see! I have felt thebaby for over a month now, but ladies if you haven't don't worry, as this is my second my muscles are already stretched allowing me to feel and already knowing what to feel for helps... I have a horrible time sleeping which as a single momma is a bummer, but man or not I'm so excited to meet my new baby! This pregnacy is COMPLETELY different than with my daughter which so far has been great! Headaches are getting worse though and lasting longer... 18 weeks and with third child. So weird cause with my first two I felt tons of kicking by now and I think I've felt this one maybe once. We found out the sex at 14 weeks Its another boy! But are confirming it on the 20th of Aug. Almost lost this one at 7 weeks so went and bought a doppler. I'm so glad I did. It relieves so many anxieties. Just hearing him. Feels like this pregnancy is taking forever. Had to go on disability so having to stay home and relax is driving me nuts. I want to go work and be active. Jan. couldn't come fast enouph. I'm 18 weeks today with my first baby and felt the baby move at 16 wks and 4 days! So cool! We can't wait for the ultrasound in exactly 2 weeks! We are going for the surprise and NOT finding out the sex of the baby...very few things in life are a surprise, ya know?! We both think it's a girl and call it she or her all the time. Not a big deal to switch it up if she turns out to be a he! I had gained 13 lbs at 16 wks, it feels like i've gained 20 lbs though! I'm huge, I think, but people love to look at my baby bump, you can definitel ytell I'm pregnant now and not just 'fat'! I focus way too much on the weight gain and need to relax. I also need to start exercising! Went for the first real walk last night and today my hip is in so much pain, I need to go home from work. I have incredible trapped gas and bloating today too! Sucks cause I've been feeling pretty good since about 13 wks! I was nauseous for a couple of weeks and still on and off if I eat the wrong thing, as I can't complained about morning sickness! Lots of strong headaches and "round ligament pain" and hip/leg/back aches. Hopefully these lessen!

Hi everyone, I'm pregnant with my second one and felt my baby first move on 15 week,I'm soo excited I don't know the sex of baby but I think itz a boy I already have 1 boy this time my symptms pretty similar tht I had with my first preg .. I'M 18 weeks with my 2nd child after 6 yrs im excited we all r ,lots of pelvic pains i walk like an old lady at times lol, i feel the flutters and movements sometimes like clockwork when daddy touches my stomach, cant wait to know the sex n also to a comfortable meal or night sleep....... hmmmmmmm
18 weeks today! feelin flutters and little kicks throughout the day :) Not gonna find out what the sex of the baby is, it's the best suprise. hips are achy and havin a hard time sleepin already! oh well, tis the price of motherhood. good luck to all!
Hi everyone, thanks for making me feel so much better. I will be 18 weeks in 3 days and am just so excited. I feel little flutters occasionally but am still not sure. We will find out the sex in less than a month so we are super excited. We are hoping for a girl, but mostly for a healthy child. BTW Congrats to everyone, its really a joy to be pregnant. HI! I am 18 weeks and 2 days! I find out what my little one is on Friday. This is my second pregnancy. My first was 17 years ago( LOL i know right). I had my daughter at 24 weeks so I'm extremely nervous with this one. I had Toxemia. I think I have felt my baby move mostly at night when I'm trying to sleep. But don't know quite what I should be feeling. I never got to experience that with my daughter. I'm hoping for a boy this time,but a healthy baby is all I can really ask for. This is my first child and I find myself extremely emotional. I am excited but scared, plus having trouble breathing due to allergies and pregnancy is making it very difficult to stay positive.....

18 weeks and 2 days with our third bundle of joy. Been feeling the baby kick since 14 weeks... actually the first time I felt him/her kick was at the doctor's appointment when she was using the dopplar for the heartbeat! My mid-wife was pretty impressed!! Go the 21st for my gender ultrasound! Have one girl and one boy already.. I have NO inclings with this one what-so-ever so it will def. be a surprise.. just hoping for a healthy baby! Due May 18th, 2011!!

I try to get some exercise, but I work full time, so it is difficult. I felt 4 defined kicks at the end of last week and I've been feeling a lot of fluttering ever since. Pregnant with my 4th baby and will be 18 weeks in a couple days. been feeling the baby squirming since 11 weeks, starting to get more real kicks now. haven't gained any weight yet, normal for me though, usually won't until around 20 weeks. Hoping to have a natural, drug free delivery like i did with my other 3. Also hoping labor is as quick as my others were, 5 hrs, 3 hrs, and 1 1/2 hrs. Going to try out cloth diapers this time around too, very excited.
I'm 17 week n 2 day preggy. My first baby.I haven't feel baby kik n dying to find out my baby sex but I will find out in 3 weeks. I was sick for last 1 n 2 n 3 n half of month now I feel like better but on n off sick, I feel a lot dizzy n super tired.. I always craving for a lot furits n veg, sumtime candy. Never junk food make me so sick. I always want home made food.
hello i am 18 weeks today this is my second child i am looking forward to finding out the sex. i went for a ultrasound friday the 11th of february and the baby was playing with the umbilical cord in the middle of its legs so they could not determine the sex at that point, was so sad :-( but i go back on thursday to find out for sure. my sugar test also came back high so i have to have a 3 hour test done that day as well. my husband this time around is wanting a girl, he swears up and down thats what it is. but i believe its another beautiful boy. not to much with morning sickness this time around but i do get ill every time i take my prenatal. everyone good luck and congrats on the little ones. thanks for stick n through and readin my post!

17 weeks and 6 days. Went to the dr yesterday and when they tried to use the fetal heart monitor the baby tried to hide and when they finally found it the baby was so tempermental it started to try and hit and kick where the monitor was. I go back in 13 days and they will tell me what the baby is on Feb. 28. I'm so excited it's my first baby and I'm kinda hoping it's a boy.
18 weeks and three day I was very sick for the first trimester now i feel a lot better. I feel my baby kick so much its funny at times, I love sweets but have not gained any weight and im almost five months. My skin is terriably dry my breast and face it's crazy makes me feel not so cute anywho I find out what my baby is thursday (tomorrow) sooo can't wait everybody think its a girl because of the way I look and my symptoms I hope there rii I have one child a boy and he's 13 (I know crazy) but whatever Im blessed with I will be happy I just really want a health baby........ 18 weeks and 3 days with my first little one. Thankfully I've had an awesome pregnancy so far. No morning sickness, no crazy late night cravings ( I lied I did have to have cup cakes a week or so ago), I'm just now starting to have to pee all the time, I don't really have too hard a time sleeping. The only problems a really have is back pain and tightness in my belly. Oh and I cry over everything. My fiancé and I are both super excited about finding out what are baby is going to be.I have never seen him so excited about anything. We have our ultrasound on the 24th. I am 18 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my first baby. I've been asking almost every mom what their baby's first movements felt like and 99% said it felt like flutters or gas. But for the past week or so I could feel what is best described as little tight balls lightly pushing from the inside out and after a few seconds there's a release, and then again ... lol. I just love it! I would be so thankful if anyone can tell me how their baby's initial movements felt (other than flutters and gas, that is). But I have to say that God has truly blessed me to bear such a precious gift. And I have not experienced any nausea, just developed a huge appetite. LOL. Take care all moms and moms to be. :-)

I'm 18 weeks and Its my first child. Im so happy but I haven't felt any movement that I know of. Hard to sleep because of frequent peeing and tossing and turning. I will find out the sex on march 9th:)
Im 18 weeks today and due to my age and stuff we have been going for ultrasounds every 2-3 weeks and having a boy. I have a daughter who is going to be 11 and so happy about having a brother. I have yet to feel the baby move but anticiapte the movements to come.

I am 18.4 weeks and i have felt my baby moving already. I feel great except for the pain of the uterine movements to stretch the ligaments. the baby had the first set of hiccups today
18 weeks tomorrow. Wont find out what Im having until 20 weeks, really anxious to know and hope the little one cooperates! I think I have felt kicking and rolling around in there but Im not sure if its just gas.... oh well, pretty soon I will know exactly what it is :)

well im 18 weeks and 2 days and every day and night my baby is moving and its a comfort to feel that i know everything is ok and i know he is a boy lol and i cant wait till i meet my lill one nor can my boyfriend or my son who is 6 he is so excited he has a lill bro on the way
I am 18 weeks today and this is my second baby. I have a precious little boy who is 4 years old. This Pregnancy is totally different then my first one. With this pregnancy I had alot of morning sickness for 2 months straight. I couldn't eat solids or meat, so for that 2 months I ate soup n crackers. It's been 5 weeks I've been morning sickness free and I couldnt be happier. I feel my little peanut move around in there, it's usually flutters but sometimes it's more defined movements. I love this stage I feel awesome and I've gained 15 lbs so far. We found out the sex of our baby June 2nd! So excited and blessed!

I am 18 weeks today and I am freaking EXHAUSTED!!! Everyone told me I'd be feeling great... those liars (lol!). I'm still waiting for this miraculous period where I feel wonderful. However, I am starting to feel the baby move. But I don't know how women would choose to go through this more than once. There is no way I'm "relishing" this. I want it to be over and never do it again.

I have tons of movement but it is my second one and i know what i am feeling.we found out sex at 16.4 weeks and it's a girl this time! i was very sick this time so i knew it wasn't a boy. i am starting to feel better. i would encourage everyone to enjoy their pregnancies because time flies. we are about to celebrate the 2nd birthday of my current baby!
I'm 18 weeks and 1 day and I. Have lots of gas and oily hair too. I was really sick the first 3 months and I find out what I'm having on sep 6th. This is a first for me and my husband so were very excited! Last night was the first night I actually had a hard time sleeping. My belly has been hurting a little bit. I am 18wks & a day 2day, "Happy, Happy, JOY-JOY". Anxious to meet my daughter. Had a sono @17wks will have another @20 so I'm just waiting 2c, thought I was having a boy but nonetheless I'm a happy 1st time mom, yay! Not sure if I've felt movement I think its gas after I eat & stomach rumbling when I'm hungry, hmmm....IDK. I went from 165 to 187 and surprisingly I look really hott! I mean I've gained weight all in my boobs, thighs, butt, I have an hour glass thing going on....Lucky Me, Lol.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with my first baby and just found out a couple of days ago that it's a girl! I had morning sickness up until 15 weeks. I have been feeling her move for a couple of weeks now, which is amazing! Feels like I'm up every 10 minutes at night...I heard it only gets worse trying to get comfy at night. I've also been getting horrible leg cramps every so often around 4am...boo! Good luck to everybody out there...I am loving the second trimester!!!
I'm 18 weeks pregnant and just found out I'm having a girl yesterday. I'm excited but also ready for it to be over. Half way through :) I've. Felt her kick for a few weeks now. She is most active around midnight. I haven't had morning sickness (thank god) but I do have a few stretch marks......I'm not mad though that is just my excuse for my husband to message me with body lotion :)..congrats new moms!!!!!!

At the end of my 18th week with my second child. I had a girl nine years ago. At my last ultrasound the tech was 90% sure this one is a boy. I qlways heard boys sit lower, this is true with me. He is si active as well! Ive been feeling kicks for a few weeks now. This week i feel them more and he is a kicker. My morning sickness finally went away this week too. Thank God!
I'm going into my 18th week, pregnant with my third. I feel movement and sometimes it feels the baby is balling up in my belly. Don't know what to make of it. Very excited my morning sickness has finally eased up.
